FAQ

Company Formation: common questions.

Quick answers to what most founders ask before going limited. Anything else? Phone us.
How long does incorporation actually take?

If we file in the morning, the company is usually live on the public register by mid-afternoon — typically 2–4 working hours. Companies House guarantees same-working-day if filed before 3pm. After 3pm or at weekends, it’ll come back first thing the next working day.

Yes — all three of our packages include the £50 statutory Companies House fee. No padding, no surprise invoice. Our service fee + the £50 = the total you’ll pay.

Yes — UK limited companies have no residency requirement for directors or shareholders. You just need a UK registered office address (we provide one via our Virtual Office service) and a valid form of photo ID. Most overseas clients are set up within 24 hours.

We pre-check every name against the Companies House register, trademark register and the “sensitive words” list before filing. Rejection is virtually unheard of — but if it happens, we’ll re-file with a corrected name at no extra cost.

Most new companies start with 100 ordinary £0.01 shares issued to a single director-shareholder. We design around what you actually want — multiple founders, EMI-ready growth shares, separate dividend classes for spouses, you name it. Bespoke articles included on Complete and Premium packages.

Yes — most clients who incorporate with us roll straight into our Business Accounts & Tax service for year-end. Continuity helps: the share structure, articles and registers are already set up correctly, so accounts are quick and clean. Discounted bundle pricing available.
